Since 2018, Czech authorities had been working on a costly wetland restoration project in Brdy Landscape Park. But nature got there first.

A family of beavers, living in the area since 2020, instinctively built a series of dams exactly where they were needed — doing the job better and faster than expected. The result? Thriving wetlands and $1.2 million saved.
